A CRAFT SELF PORTRAIT BY LAURENCE PIA TOUITOU
Founded by Laurence Touitou, LA LISTE TUNISIENNE is a collection of household items and accessories designed and produced in Tunisia.
Laurence Touitou is a Tunisian-born architect who has devoted much of her decades-long career to music and the development of young artists. After a move to Tunisia in 2010, she dedicated herself to her passion, handicrafts. Through craftwork, she discovered her native country, further growing her connection with it.
LA LISTE TUNISIENNE was created in 2010 and has been distributed worldwide. Alongside her work as a designer, she has teamed up with the United Nations in Tunisia, supporting artisans all over the country in all their areas of savoir-faire.
To her, craftsmanship is a tale. LA LISTE TUNISIENNE goes straight to the essentials, telling the story of the popular crafts Touitou loves, and passing on their spirit.
Every item in this collection is made out of sincere relationships and collaborations with the craftswomen and men who team up with LA LISTE TUNISIENNE.
The items are inspired by Tunisian classics adapted to modern uses and needs, reimagined to be integrated in a contemporary universe.
